Welcome to all Visitors
Who are we?
Liberty Church consists of a wide range of different people, from all ages and different backgrounds. Whoever you are, you will be very warmly welcomed at Liberty Church.
When to arrive:
If it's your first Sunday morning visit, then it's probably best to get here around 9:20 am. If you are driving, there is plenty of free parking in our parking lot along the road. For directions to reach us please see the
Contact Us page. You'll be greeted on the door by our greeters or ushers who will give you some information about the church service and notices of upcoming events. Coat racks are right inside the front doors and the bathrooms are straight down the hall from the main doors. We will be meeting in the large room to the right, just after you enter the building.
What to wear:
This is easy. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in! We are an informal church and accept people as they are. There is no need to dress up to try and be someone that you're not. Whether you come as a suited businessman or wear jeans and a T-shirt that is fine with us.
What to expect:
For some people going anywhere for the first time can be a bit of a nerve-racking experience. To help avoid any worries here's a quick summary of what you can expect at Liberty. First of all we aren't super-spiritual beings, we all had a 'first day' at church, you'll find we are a friendly group! If you don't understand something please simply ask. We start our meeting about 9:30am with a welcome and some announcements keeping us informed of what's going on, then we spend about 25 minutes worshipping. Our worship time consists of songs (with guitars, piano, and drums), readings from the Bible, and a time to pray and talk with God. Then, we have a talk from the Bible that is relevant and meaningful to our modern lives. We finish our meeting around 10:30 am. After that, we'll go into the room next door where there is coffee, juice, and a snack available. At 10:45, you'll hear a bell ring. This means its time for some of our smaller group meetings (called "Sunday school"). This is where we can break up into some smaller groups (kids in one area and adults in another area) to learn more about God together--you are welcome to join us for this hour-long time of learning and fellowship. Our aim is that whether you are just looking into Christianity for the first time or have been a Christian for many years that you should be encouraged and inspired by the morning. Our hope is that everyone will draw closer to God.
What we believe:
We are a Christian church and we believe that anyone can have a relationship with God. We believe this relationship with God is possible because of Jesus (God's only Son) who invites us to follow him. If you are interested in exploring faith then please come by on a Sunday morning or
contact our pastor for more free information. If you don't have a Bible, we will happily provide one (if English isn't your first language we would love to make a gift to you of a bible in your own lanaguage). You can read a much more detailed description of our beliefs
here.
Is it just Sundays?
Absolutely not! God is with us all week long and we aim to lead lives pleasing to him. We're not perfect and we do make mistakes, but we desire to make a positive difference in everything we do. To further encourage us we have a Wednesday night meeting as well. These Wednesday night meetings are a great way to get to know others in the church and to be real with each other about everyday living. If you are just looking into Christianity you are more than welcome to come on Wednesday nights! Here is a more detailed
list of our meeting times.
For those with disabilities:
We aim to be an all inclusive church. However our resources are limited so we try to provide for our current attendees. If you wish to discuss specific needs please contact the church office. Our premises are accessible for those with disabilites. We have reserved parking spaces near the front entrance. Both the kitchen and toilets are accessible.
